Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is confident that the Reds do not need any signings as of now but is unwilling to close the door completely on any new arrivals.
He said: “I’m very happy with what I’ve got, but you don’t know. That’s why I always keep the door open, in case something happens and we need to have a look. There are a monstrous number of games coming up and as long as we can react, it’s all good. If something dramatically changes, we’ll look. If nothing happens then I’d say we will not do anything.”
The Reds have played some excellent football this season under their German boss and are top of the Premier League table this Christmas. They remain the only unbeaten team in the league and will look to establish their position at the top when they meet challengers Manchester City in the New Year on 3rd January.
Liverpool have faced some unfortunate injuries to their back-line this season with both Joel Matip and Joe Gomez currently out injured. Youngster Trent Alexander-Arnold was also missing recently but is expected to be back sooner rather than later. It can be hence be assumed that should Liverpool suffer any further loss in the back-line they might be fishing around in the market.
