Blow for Liverpool and Arsenal as French side agree deal for Milan star
Monaco have handed a big blow to Liverpool and Arsenal, as they finalised a deal for AC Milan star Stephan El Shaarawy
AC Milan have agreed to sell the 22-year-old to French club Monaco after an injury-plagued couple of seasons in Serie A.
That didn’t stop him from being linked with both the Gunners and the Reds, who had been keeping tabs on him for several years.
A Risk Worth Taking
Monaco, however, are confident of revitalising the forward, who can also play as a winger, and will pay Milan £11.5m for his services.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report El Shaarawy has already said his goodbyes at the Milanello training ground and will face a medical on Monday before signing a five-year deal with the side that reached last year’s Champions League quarter-finals.
El Shaarawy’s arrival at Monaco comes in the wake of Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco’s move to Atletico Madrid.
