Jose Mourinho has been appointed as Tottenham Hotspur boss.
Its Official! Yes!
Here is what Jose had to say: “The quality in both the squad and the academy excites me,” said the 56-year-old Portuguese. “Working with these players is what has attracted me.”
Levy also welcomed his new manager with open arms.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy said: “In Jose we have one of the most successful managers in football.”
Levy added: “He (Mourinho) has a wealth of experience, can inspire teams and is a great tactician.
“He has won honours at every club he has coached. We believe he will bring energy and belief to the dressing room.”
Jose Mourinho has previously taken charge of Chelsea, twice and once of Manchester United. While the Mourinho eras always begin positively, the ends are nowhere near as cohesive.
Everywhere he has gone, he left with a bad taste, barring Inter Milan. He has been sacked multiple times and has more often than not broken up the dressing room. However, he still remains the most successful active manager in England. His silverware is a record unparalleled. It is now for us to see whether Spurs and Jose can form a working relation.
