The club finally have their new boss
Aston Villa have officially confirmed this morning that Roberto Di Matteo will be the club’s new manager following their relegation to the Championship.
The 46-year old will be assisted by Steve Clarke, who, like Di Matteo, has managed Villa’s West Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion.
Di Matteo won both the Champions League and the FA Cup during his time in charge of Chelsea in 2012, but before that he earned promotion to the Premier League with West Brom in 2010.
The latter will interest the Villa fans, as they hope their team can bounce back to England’s top flight at the first attempt after a dismal 2015/16 season.
