Tuchel coached Mbappe during his spell as PSG’s head coach.
Bayern Munich are planning to sign PSG forward Kylian Mbappe in the summer. It’s clear that the Frenchman will leave the club in 2024 as a free agent.
Bundesliga winners are pushing hard to get him on the board with a huge price considering the fact is Real Madrid are front-runner.
Since the departure of Robert Lewandowski, Bayern needed a striker to sort their attack. They signed Harry Kane last summer to complete their attack. They are now targeting the Champions League trophy.
Harry Kane has netted 21 goals in his debut season and if Bayeern get Mbappe, they will be a strong side. Their other options Thomas Muller and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting are 34 years of age. They set to leave at the end of the season.
Tuchel coached Mbappe during his spell as PSG’s head coach, and the German recently hinted that he would pick up the striker himself if he showed a desire to play for Bayern.
“Mbappe free next year? Yes, He will play for us. Kylian is Kylian, he is very intelligent,” Tuchel told Canal+ when asked about the prospect of a reunion with the World Cup winner.
“We had a good relationship. If he wants to come to Bayern, I will go and get him myself. When he wants something, he gets it.”
