Real Madrid could finally move for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero in the summer. No Champions League football is likely to cause an exodus and we may see many City players leave the Etihad Stadium.

According to AS, Aguero’s future in Manchester is also in doubt. The Argentine is the club’s all-time leading goalscorer with 252 goals in all competitions. He has a contract expiring in June 2021. Considering his age of 31, Pep Guardiola’s side aren’t likely to demand a very high price.

As a result, Los Blancos could attempt to lure the prolific attacker this summer. The only obstacle may be Karim Benzema, who has emerged as Madrid’s leading assist provider. He is also one of the most efficient strikers in the past couple of seasons after Ronaldo’s departure.

When CR7 left for Juventus in 2018, Benzema managed to score 30 goals in all competitions. This season, he is currently at the number of 18 total goals. Meanwhile, Aguero scored 100 goals in 230 appearances for Los Blancos’ bitter rivals Atletico Madrid between 2006 and 2011 before moving to England.
