Tottenham Hotspur have offered Ryan Sessegnon a new contract
Spurs are rumoured to be looking to offer the English prodigy a better deal following his recent resurgence under Antonio Conte’s supervision.
This season, the 21-year-old has played a minor part for the North London club but has done well to slot in as a squad player when needed. Sessegnon has appeared in 13 matches for Tottenham this season, recording one assist on all fronts.
In the Premier League, the ex-Fulham prodigy has caught the eye at times, averaging 1.5 tackles, 0.8 interceptions, 1.3 clearances, 0.5 vital passes, and 0.5 dribbles per 90 minutes. He has also disseminated the ball rather efficiently, completing 76.6 percent of his attempted passes in the top division of the league.
The English left-back has the ability to drive to the byline and send a couple decent crosses into the opponent’s penalty box. He can even keep possession moving well from the left flank and packs a lot of power with his long-range shots.
Sessegnon has done well to regain his form under Antonio Conte’s tutelage. As a result, it makes sense for the Spurs to offer him a new deal in order to retain him in the long run. At the age of 21, the English prospect has plenty of time to improve his Tottenham career.
