Both Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte was involved in a tussle during the weekend clash.

Both managers clashed twice during Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening.

They were booked for their first bust-up and eventually was shown the red card at the full-time whistle when they aggressively did a handshake that led to more ugly scenes.

“Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte have both been charged with a breach of FA Rule E3, following the Premier League fixture between Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC on Sunday 14 August 2022,” the FA’s statement read.

“It is alleged that the behaviour of both managers was improper following the end of the fixture. Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte have until Thursday 18 August 2022 to provide their respective responses.”

The Chelsea boss could face further charges from the FA for his comments about referee Anthony Taylor.

He said it would be wiser if Anthony Taylor doesn’t officiate any games for Chelsea in the future.

Tuchel said: “I don’t think just some of the fans think that. I can assure you the whole dressing room of us, every single person, thinks that.”
