Owen Hargreaves wants Spurs to sign Wilfried Zaha from Palace
Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves says he wants Tottenham Hotspur to sign winger Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace.
Spurs, who haven’t signed a player in two consecutive windows, are playing some good football to stay in third place in the Premier League table, four points behind leaders Liverpool, who have one game to play.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men are out of both domestic cup competitions but have Champions League commitments to deal with as Borussia Dortmund come to town very soon this month.
Speaking on the BT Sports PL Tonight Show, Owen Hargreaves wants the North Londoners to sign Zaha from Palace.
He said: “The fact they are second is a stunning achievement.
“It shows how good a job Pochettino is doing. Every player that steps in seems to do a job.
“Maybe the only way they are going to get better is with a genuine world-class player.
“He [Pochettino] only wants a player of high character. I think he wants people to fit in and not upset the balance.
“I would like to see Zaha at Tottenham.”
Tottenham welcome Leicester City in their next league game, as they attempt to keep in touch with the league’s top two.
