Former manager Mauricio Pochettino and his coaching staff left a farewell message to the Tottenham Hotspur playing squad after being sacked by the club on Tuesday. Pochettino was sacked following a miserable start to the campaign that has seen last season’s Champions League finalists slide down the Premier League table.
Tottenham sit 14th in England’s top flight after picking up just three wins from their opening 12 games, and were eliminated from the League Cup in September by fourth-tier Colchester United. Jose Mourinho was brought in an a replacement shortly after and promised “real passion” following his appointment as Tottenham boss on Wednesday.
Pochettino’s former assistant Jesus Perez used Twitter to share the Argentinean’s heartfelt goodbye on a tactics board, having been unable to say goodbye personally. “Big thanks to you all,” Pochettino wrote in a picture posted on Thursday. “We can’t say goodbye… you will always be in our hearts.”

His future has dominated headlines since his Spurs departure.
The 47-year-old has been linked to Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich as well as Manchester United, which is reportedly keen on Pochettino before turning to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have also been touted as potential destinations for Pochettino.
