Juventus unwilling to Let Pogba attend World Cup final

Pogba has told those within the squad that he would like to attend the final.

According to L’Équipe, Juventus are reticent on letting Paul Pogba make the journey to Qatar despite Emmanuel Macron’s apparent intention to bring along France’s injury absentees for Sunday’s World Cup final.

World Cup 2018 winner had first undergone a knee operation in September and then sustained a thigh injury. He has been keeping in contact with his international teammates in Doha.

Pogba has told those within the squad that he would like to attend the final, but despite his efforts to convince them otherwise, the Bianconeri are not enthusiastic about letting him go while he remains in recovery mode.

Bayern Munich have vetoed Lucas Hernandez’s potential six-hour flight to Qatar, given he has only recently undergone a knee operation as well after suffering an injury in the opening ten minutes of France’s first game of the tournament, against Australia.

France will take on Argentina in the World Cup final on Sunday. Argentina will play their second final in the last three World Cups and France will play the successive final. Both have won two trophies so it will be the third title for the team.
