Bayern Munich secures signing of Galatasaray’s Sacha Boey

Bayern Munich has added their defensive ranks with the acquisition of French right-back Sacha Boey from Galatasaray.

The 23-year-old has committed to a four-and-a-half-year deal, fortifying Bayern’s squad amidst a string of injuries to key players like Joshua Kimmich and Konrad Laimer.

“This is a dream come true for me,” Boey told the official Bayern website. “It’s an honour for me to get to play for such a big club like Bayern.

I’m really looking forward to my new team and getting to play with all these great players in the future. As a player, I’m a defender who likes to attack, just as happy being involved up front as in defence.”

Boey’s arrival comes at a critical juncture for the Bavarian giants, who are aiming to maintain their pursuit of Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

Boey brings with him valuable experience from both domestic and European competitions, having faced Bayern earlier this season in the UEFA Champions League group stage.

With 19 starts in the Super Lig and notable contributions in European fixtures, including a goal, Boey’s versatility and skill add depth to Bayern’s defensive options.

Having tasted success with Galatasaray, winning the league title in the 2022/23 season, Boey now sets his sights on making an impact in the Bundesliga.

As Bayern prepares for their Champions League clash with Lazio, the addition of Boey underscores their commitment to strengthening the squad for both domestic and continental challenges.
