The Italians will look to spend in the January transfer window as well.
Tottenham defender Serge Aurier is a target for AC Milan, according to reports.
The Ivorian international joined Spurs from Paris Saint-Germain in 2017. The 26-year-old has since made 43 appearances for the North London club, scoring four goals and providing seven assists.
Since arriving at Spurs, Aurier has struggled to establish himself as a regular due to the presence of Kieran Trippier.
Despite the England international joining Atletico Madrid this summer, the Ivorian did not feature in any of Tottenham’s first four matches with Mauricio Pochettino preferring Kyle Walker-Peters and Davinson Sanchez instead. However, he started and played the entirety of the club’s last two Premier League fixtures against Crystal Palace and Leicester City, assisting in the former.
He’s incredibly experienced for a 26-year-old and still has tons of room for growth and the defensive department of AC Milan squad needs quality additions this winter. Andrea Conti starred in Derby della Madonnina defeat to Inter and failed to impress, and therefore Aurier has become a concrete option for January to provide competition for Davide Calabria, according to Sports Mediaset.
However, Aurier would not come cheap as Spurs are said to be demanding €25 million for the ex-Paris Saint-Germain defender. Provided he moves to AC Milan, he will be only the second Ivorian to play for the Rossoneri, the first being Franck Kessie.
