Manchester United are reportedly preparing a £125m double transfer swoop for James Rodriguez of Real Madrid and Chelsea star Eden Hazard.

United, managed by Louis van Gaal, were left frustrated in the summer transfer window as they were unable to secure any of their top targets, including Neymar and Gareth Bale.

But LVG is apparently still wanting to beef up his frontline, and has seemingly turned his attentions into acquiring Colombian Rodriguez, and Hazard of Belgium.

The Manchester Evening News claims that the Red Devils will battle Barcelona for the services of Hazard, who has not hit the heights of last season.

Last term, Hazard was the PFA Player of the Year, but injuries and a loss of confidence have hampered him this time.

Rodriguez has also endured a difficult season after arriving at the Bernabeu following the 2014 World Cup. He is available for around £60m, and has been on United’s radar for some time.
