Mourinho says Manchester United far from being built in his image

Manchester United head coach Jose Mourinho believes a lot of work is left to be done in the club despite being in the third year of his reign at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese mastermind took over the club in 2016 and since has won three trophies with the club. However, all his silverware came in his first season and the club has flattered to deceive recently. United currently sit outside the top 4 in the Premier League table after a disappointing season last time.

Manchester United have splashed the cash with reinforcements being made in almost every position. United remain one of the highest spenders in the market but Jose believes the club is far away from being built in his image. They take on league leaders Liverpool after being on a wretched run, winning just one of their last 5 league games.

The Red Devils boss conceded, we have doubts about everything. But we are going with the players we have available and a team capable of going there to fight for the victory.”

Mourinho has been known to be a serial winner in every one of his previous clubs but the former Chelsea boss has never stayed at a club beyond three years. If United continue to allow themselves to be built in his image beyond this year, it will be entering into an entirely unknown zone for both the club and the manager. Let’s wait and see what new trick Jose has to offer the football world.
