FC Basel defender, Fabian Schar, is attracting serious interest from European trio; Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan.
The young centre-back featured for Switzerland during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, and his performances have caught the eye of the trio, who are all weighing up potential bids in January for the 22-year-old.
Schar has been on Arsenal’s radar since the Summer, and they were considering a move for him during the last transfer window, as they sold Thomas Vermaelen to FC Barcelona, but they turned to Matija Nastasic from Manchester City instead, but failed to capture the Serbian with a late bid.
The Gunners are down to their bare-bones at the back, and Arsene Wenger has already admitted that he will be active in the Winter window due to their lack of cover at the back.
However, he will have to fend off both Dortmund and Inter, who are also ready to make a Winter move for the Swiss.
Basel are wanted at least £10million for the 22-year-old, but with two-years left on his current contract, the Swiss champions may hold out ofr more money.
