£7.5m the fee for Dutch star
It’s being reported that Everton have triggered a £7.5million release clause for the Galatasaray star Wesley Sneijder.
The Holland international has enjoyed a stellar career at the likes of Ajax, Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
And even at 32, Sneijder is still impressing in Turkey.
Manchester United were said to be keen on the Champions League winner, with Jose Mourinho potentially looking to bring him to Old Trafford this summer.
Toffees new boss Ronald Koeman worked with Sneijder at Ajax in the playmaker’s early career.
And a reunion could be on the cards as a cut-price deal with Galatasaray is apparently available.
Sneijder is said to have a release clause in his contract of just £5.8million, which makes him easily affordable for Everton.
