Everton open talks with Chelsea

According to reports, Everton have opened formal talks with Chelsea regarding Romelu Lukaku.

As of yet, it isn’t understood whether the two clubs are discussing another loan-move, or whether it’s a permanent one, but it’s believed that it will be a permanent deal this time as the Belgium has been offered out by Jose Mourinho.

It was reported yesterday that Spanish duo, Valencia and Atletico Madrid were interested in signing him, as well as German side Wolfsburg, but it’s also believed that six other teams are considering the 21-year-old ahead of next season.

The Belgium powerhouse hit 15-goals for Everton last season, and netted even more the previous campaign with West Bromwich Albion, but with Mourinho splashing the cash on Diego Costa and reportedly another striker, a first-team place at Stamford Bridge doesn’t look likely for Lukaku.

Earlier this week the striker admitted that he’d love to have a chance at Chelsea, but he is also aware of Mourinho’s transfer plans, so a formal move away could be more realistic for the Belgium, but nothing will be decided until after the World Cup.
