Striker is out-of-favour at Emirates Stadium

Everton are set to launch a sensational move for Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski.

The World Cup winner is out-of-favour in North London, and spent the second half of the 2014/2015 campaign out on loan in Italy with Serie A side Inter Milan.

However, the Italian club isn’t likely to make the loan deal a permanent one, meaning the forward will return to England with his parent club.

Interested Clubs

Podolski is wanted by clubs abroad, especially in Turkey, but it appears Everton are the latest club to be linked with a move for the German international.

Roberto Martinez is thought to be an admirer of the 30-year-old and could try and lure him to Goodison Park over the Summer, with Arsene Wenger ready to sell on a permanent basis.

The versatile forward, who can play all across the front-three, fell down the pecking order in North London after the arrivals of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez.

Despite confirming he intends to see out his one remaining year at Arsenal, Podolski is considered up for sale at the club and Wenger is willing to listen to any offers that come in for the German.

Although he wants to stay for another year, Podolski has admitted that if a good offer comes in for him, he will evaluate it.

Podolski Considering Future

He said: “If I find the right club, right coach and right environment, I’ll evaluate it.

“If these conditions are met, I think everything is possible.”
