Arsenal and Liverpool dealt transfer blow
Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool have been dealt a transfer setback after Ezequiel Lavezzi revealed his dream to play for FC Barcelona.
The Paris Saint-Germain star has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League over the past few months, with Arsenal and Liverpool both monitoring his situation.
However, in a recent interview, the Argentine has admitted that his dream move would be to Barcelona.
Lavezzi is a free-agent in the summer as his deal in France expires, with no plans to renew, which means overseas clubs can hold contract talks with him in January.
According to reports, the winger has already snubbed an extension offer from PSG due to lack of first-team football, and he’s now revealed that Barca would be his dream move.
“I’ll be calm and I’ll try to make the best decision. Rumours are normal because my contract expires. We’ll see,” he told TYC Sports.
“I won’t deny it would be a dream to play at Barca, although I’m now playing at a team that is almost as good.”
