Fabregas aims for clean sweep

Cesc Fabregas is hoping for a “clean sweep” of trophies in his first season, in an interview with the Daily Star.

Fabregas signed from Barcelona last month for ÂŁ30 million, and is confident of a first successful season at the West London clubs.

The midfielder’s move certainly was a controversial one amongst Arsenal supporters, with Fabregas claiming that he would only leave Barcelona for the Gunners.

But Fabregas backed his new manager Mourinho to bring the good times back to Chelsea.

Fabregas, 27, said: “I studied Chelsea well with my own head, thinking about it a lot with my family.

“And once I spoke to the boss when he came to see me on a Sunday afternoon, missing his son’s final to see me instead so I know he made a great effort, I thought Chelsea was the best decision.

“He told me exactly what he wanted from me. He gave me a lift. He made me believe that he wanted me in a very good way.

“So with all of the things together I became sure that it was the best option for me.”

He also stated that he is eyeing a clean sweep of trophies.

He added: “My ambitions? My ambitions are to win absolutely everything.”
