FC Barcelona have confirmed that they have made no formal approach for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
Reports in recent weeks have claimed that the Catalan club are keen on bringing the Argentine back to the La Liga as soon as January, but the club’s vice-president has revealed that they have made no contact with Manchester City or the player himself.
There had been plans in place to make a formal bid in January, with the backing that they would go back in for the striker in the Summer if a deal couldn’t be arranged, however all these reports have been dismissed and Josep Bartmoeu has revealed no contact has been made at all.
He told Mundo Deportivo on the Aguero link: “No, we have had no contact with him.
“I can say that the story is not true.”
The City striker has been in superb form for Manuel Pellegrini so far this season and added yet another goal to his impressive tally last night during their 3-2 victory against West Bromwich Albion.
