Manchester United manager David Moyes has revealed that the injury to Robin Van Persie isn’t a serious one, but he is not sure when the lethal striker will return to first-team action.

The former-Arsenal hitman hasn’t featured in United’s last four games due to the injury, but it doesn’t look like he will be returning any time soon either, which is a big worry for Moyes and co., especially after their 1-0 defeat to Everton last night at Old Trafford.

Since being out of the side, United have only managed to pick up two points from their last three games and without Van Persie, they are now 12 points behind his former-side Arsenal.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Moyes admitted that he has no clue when the striker will return.

He told United’s official website: “I don’t know (when he will return). We’ve been trying to get him back for a few weeks.

“But he is not ready yet. It’s his groin. It’s a sore groin injury and nothing desperately serious.”
