Fellaini suffers ankle ligament injury

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a major injury in training.

The Belgian has been spotted hobbling in crutches and spotted wearing a protective boot, and it is understood that Fellaini has suffered ankle ligament damage.

Fellaini is waiting further news after having scans, but is expected to be out for a lenghty amount of time, something which coudl affect his future at United.

It appeared that United were willing to give Fellaini a chance to prove his worth, after featuring in the club’s last two games, but now it is likely that the midifielder will be needed to be replaced.

United already have a shortage of midfield players and are likely to look to bringing in further recruitments to cover Fellaini, who has been speculated to move elsewhere himself.

Napoli and Tottenham have both been interested in the player, but if this injury proves to be true it will be hard for United to offload the Belgian flop.
