The reigning La Liga champion, who has been training with the reserves as he seeks a move away, admitted that it wasn’t a hard choice to join the after being a fan of England’s top league.
“I’ve always liked Chelsea, I see a lot of Premier League games.
“I felt positive sensations and when I got the offer I thought it was the perfect chance to play in England.”
The fullback will be a like for like replacement for Ashley Cole, who joined Roma on a two year deal earlier this month.
