Flamini Fight!

After the game between Arsenal and Manchester United had finished Mathieu Flamini had an argument with Vic Akers who was backed by Bacary Sagna. It is tradition to wear the same sleave length when it’s a special edition shirt however Flamini cut his sleaves to imitate a short sleeved shirt when all of his team mats were wearing long sleeve. It wasn’t until half way through the second half that Akers noticed it.

The french international decided to cut his sleeves with scissors which angered the 67 year old. At the end of the match when Akers confronted the midfielder he refused to back down from his decision. However the kit manager decided to let it go because these were special edition shirts. The frenchman who signed for the gunners on free agent after leaving AC Milan was questioned as to why he didn’t just roll up his sleeves. Surprisingly Sagna was the only one of the lineup to defend Akers.

Although the kit manager let it go he felt that it doesn’t help when these shirts were to be auctioned to raise money for charity.
