Former-Chelsea midfielder, Florent Malouda, has rubbished reports linking him with a move back to England.
The Frenchman has recently been released by Turkish side, Trabzonspor, and has been linked with a shock move to Championship side, Birmingham City, but on his official Twitter account, Malouda revealed that he will not be joining the Midlands-based club.
The 34-year-old is currently looking for a new club, but he has insisted that he won’t be dropping to the Championship, despite Lee Clarke’s interest in him.
He tweeted: “Just saw another story linking me with a championship club. I don’t know any Lee Clark. Must be ice bucket challenge collateral damage…”
Malouda enjoyed a successful six-years at Stamford Bridge before it ended badly, seeing him banished to the club’s reserves before he left.
