Real Madrid Predsident Florentino Perez has rejected the prospect of having a La Liga match in the United States. La Liga agreed to host a match in the United States as a part of their 15-year deal with media group Relevant. The Spanish FA and the Spanish Footballers’ Union both disapproved of the plan.

And  now, Florentino Perez has also criticised the plan. He believes that hosting a match in USA is not in the interests of the clubs or the fans.

Perez said, “We won’t go to the United States. I don’t know whose interest it is in to play there but it is not in the interests of the clubs or the supporters, so we outright reject it.”

Nearly two  weeks back, Barcelona, Girona and La Liga requested the Spanish Football Federation to relocate their January fixture to Miami. The Spanish Football Federation said that unless they get further information, the request would not be approved.
