Jurgen Klopp:

Former Chelsea and Scotland midfielder Craig Burley thinks that Liverpool need to make one more signing if they are to be among the top contenders for the Premier League title this season. Burley who is also a pundit on ESPN FC, thinks that the Reds need a quality center back who can partner Virgil Van Dyk.

When asked about Alisson’s deal, Burley said, “Good business. Burley added, “I like the look of Liverpool. “I still think they need a centre-half to go alongside Van Dijk, another centre-half. That is still a weak area for me. But, great business.

“A couple of years ago Alisson was second choice to (Wojciech) Szczesny, so it’s been a bit of a revival over the last couple of years. But he has been good.”

Liverpool have already made a number of high profile signings this summer. Those include Naby Keita from Leipzig, Fabinho from Monaco and of course, the world record signing of Alisson. The Reds bought the Brazilian shot-stopper for a whopping £68.5 million which makes him the most expensive goalkeeper in the world.

Liverpool will begin their International Champions Cup campaign tomorrow against Borussia Dortmund at Charlotte, USA.
