Lauren tweets about Petr Cech joining Arsenal

Former-Arsenal player Lauren has potentially revealed Petr Cech to Arsenal is a done deal after he welcomed the Chelsea goalkeeper on his official Twitter page.

The veteran has been strongly linked with a move to North London, after falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, and Lauren has all-but confirmed the deal.

Cech’s Future

Cech lost his number-one spot to Thibaut Courtois this season and has failed to win the spot back and after growing frustrated with the lack of first-team football, he’s now ready to leave for playing time.

The 33-year-old has told Chelsea he wants to leave, but has then insisted that he doesn’t want to leave London for personal reasons, leaving Arsenal the only potential suitors.

Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Liverpool have all been linked with Cech over the recent months, but it looks like he’s set for the Emirates Stadium.

Reports emerged yesterday that Arsenal would offer Cech a record-breaking contract, worth £100k-a-week, making him the club’s highest ever paid ‘keeper.

It’s believed Arsenal will pay £10million for the goalkeeper, and their former right-back has all-but confirmed it’s a done deal.

Lauren sent out a tweet on his official account yesterday congratulating and welcoming the goalkeeper.

Lauren Welcomes Cech

‘All the best to Cech,’ he wrote.

‘Long time without stability in that position and another great gooner move to get the Premier League.’

Potential Replacement

The Blues are eyeing up Robert Green from Queens Park Rangers as a potential replacement for Cech.
