Frank Lampard makes a big prediction about Chelsea and Man City

Frank Lampard is backing both Chelsea and Manchester United to challenge for the Premier League title this season.

Manchester United will now be looking to get back to their winning ways in the top flight next weekend when they host Newcastle United at Old Trafford.

Lampard knows Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho well, having played under the Portuguese coach during his successful first spell in charge at Chelsea.

And the former Chelsea man believes that the Red Devils have the right man for the job in charge at Old Trafford.

Lampard is quoted as saying by the Daily Express: “Mourinho is a manager that likes to win and he has a way of winning. It’s different to Pep Guardiola, different to Antonio Conte and that’s his way.

“If Manchester United don’t win the Premier League, for me it’s the quality of the players.

“Manchester City have a very strong squad this year, Chelsea still have a very strong squad and I think particularly the first XI, if everybody’s fit, is very strong.

“When I look at Manchester United, they’re around that area, but maybe the other teams can be stronger. I certainly don’t think it’ll be the manager.”
