Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has questioned whether or not Tottenham Hotspur have what it takes to win the Premier League.
The Blues veteran doesn’t doubt that Spurs have the quality to win the league, but he has questioned whether or not they have the mental strength to go all the way.
Many people are suggesting that this is the best team Tottenham have ever had, despite the sale of Gareth Bale, and after an impressive start to the new campaign, they are currently sitting in third-place.
A man that is used to the pressure of a title race is Lampard and he believes it takes a lot to be able to not let the expectations effect them.
‘They’re a very good team. They are going to be looking at winning the league.
‘That’s what you have to do when you spend that money. We’ve lived for the last eight years with that pressure, year in year out, and that’s what Tottenham have to deal with if they want to win the league. You have to get a level of consistency and it’s not easy. It’s a difficult league.’
