Manchester United manager David Moyes has been assured that the club DO have the funds to spend on big players this month, as they try and salvage what is left of their poor 2013/2014 campaign.

The Red Devils are looking very depleated this season and after crashing out of the FA Cup in the third round at the weekend, Moyes and co. are desperate to sign some new players for the club in order to save their season.

It is understood that Moyes wants to try and sign a new left-back and a new centre-midfielder due to injuries sustained and also the threat of Patrice Evra leaving the club in the Summer.

Ander Herrera has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford, as has Leighton Baines and Luke Shaw, but it is yet to be confirmed that bids or enquiries have been made for any of them.

A senior figure at Old Trafford has told reporters that money is there for Moyes to spend and the board will support the manager financially for the correct players to be brought in.

However, they have also confirmed that the club will not just sign anybody and they will refuse to panic buy just because fans are asking for signings.
