Gareth Bale is set to return for Real Madrid, ahead of Tuesday’s anticipated visit of Liverpool in the Champions League.
Bale returned to full training on Sunday, the European Cup holders confirmed, in a timely boost ahead of the fixture at the Bernabeu.
The winger has not featured for his club side since the international break due to a hip problem.
25 year-old Bale is in line to face English opponents in a competative fixtures since his world-record £85 million move from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2013, should he be selected in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for the Champions League game.
Madrid have won 11 games in a row in all competitions, including three straight wins in their Champions League group, their last European Cup game was a 3-0 reverse against Liverpool at Anfield two weeks-ago.
“Bale joined the group for the week’s last training session, during which Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo worked alone and performed running drills out on the pitch,” a statement confirmed on Real’s website.
“Bale completed a series of demanding dribbling, passing and shooting circuits.”
