Gunners to trigger Reus release clause

Arsenal are set to trigger Marco Reus’ release clause next summer, and have apparently already penciled a £20million bid.

The Gunners were reportedly interested in the Dortmund forward throughout this summer, but after they signed Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona, they decided against making a move for the German.

However, reports are claiming that Arsene Wenger will trigger the release clause in Reus’ contract next summer and will be first in line to sign him, having already made a formal bid.

Manchester United, Real Madrid and Liverpool are expected to join Arsenal in the hunt for Reus should he not commit to a new contract at Dortmund, which the winger has so far refused to do.
