Liverpool are ready to step up their interest in Napoli’s Marek Hamsik after he refused to rule out a move away from Italy in January.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is thought to be a huge fan of the Slovakian and has been heavily linked with him before.
And now the Daily Express says Liverpool are set to push for him after he gave this cryptic answer over his Napoli future.
‘I am happy here but in football you never know,’ he told reporters.
Hamsik is rated as one of the best midfielders in the world and could easily replace Steven Gerrard, as he approaches the end of his career.
Liverpool are thought to have tried to grab Hamsik in the summer, while Napoli were in talks to sign Lucas Leiva.
