Porto Midfielder Hector Herrera admits of being happy at the club

Mexico and Porto midfielder Hector Herrera has finally spoken About his rumours which linked min with a move from the Portuguese club. The player was supposed to make a move from Primeira Liga to English Premier League.

But the player has ruled out the rumours involving him by stating that he is happy at the Portuguese club.

In talks with the reporters, the Porto player dismissed any linkups with other clubs.

He said, “People often ask me if I’m leaving FC Porto, and, like I’ve told the directors and the coach, my head is here, I have also been saying that, when the day to leave comes, it will be because the chairman doesn’t want me anymore or because the coach or directors decided to sell me.”

“Then, it will be time to think about something, but for now I’m here and I’m happy to be back with my teammates, my coaching staff, and to return to the Estadio do Dragao. It’s always a joy to play here. Now we need to keep a strong mentality and think of titles.”

Other Mexican players like Miguel Layun moved to Villarreal on a long-term deal, Center back Diego Reyes is a free agent with the player likely to leave the club before ther transfer window closes.

However Hector Herrera and Jesus Corona will stay at the club for another season.

Jesus Corona said, “The team is ready for what’s coming. We did make great efforts to be good next Saturday, the new players are to discovering what it is to love FC Porto, and we will continue to work for that. Vacations were good, but now we have to work.”

Herrera was also the part of the Mexican side which featured in the recent World Cup in Russia with the player playing all the 4 games for the side.
