Napoli and Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain has refused to be drawn into rumours that Barcelona are about to sign the striker.
The forward has attracted many clubs after an impressive goalscoring record that was shown in his debut season for Napoli in Italy.
It is understood that Higuain has had many offer to play football elsewhere, with Barcelona being the biggest name to be linked with the hitman.
Higuain himself has admitted to being ‘flattered’ about Barcelona’s interest, sparking rumours that he would make a move to the Nou Camp after the World Cup.
‘I know nothing about Barcelona and I feel good at Napoli. But now, I want to think only about the World Cup.’
‘I have nothing to say because there has been nothing,’ he said.
Higuain’s father, and agent, added: ‘Gonzalo feels good at Napoli and he won’t change club. I have nothing to deny because there has been nothing concrete.’
