Hugo Lloris doesn’t get the credit he deserves at his level.

After winning the World Cup in 2018, Lloris has won his second major international trophy by beating Spain 2-1 in the UEFA Nations League final.

The 34-year old keeper has made one of the finest displays of his career in this game and pulled off several important saves in the second half of the game.

Former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie lauded the Frenchman for the level he has maintained over the years for club and country.

Henry told Sky Sports Main Event: “You talk about heroes in games.

“This is an excellent save from Lloris. I think because it zips off the surface, it’s always a tricky one for the keeper. Lloris does so well.

“It’s brilliant from Lloris again. He definitely will be one of the heroes if it stays this way.

“We can’t hide away from how well Hugo Lloris played. Some of the saves he made, in really key moments in the game.”
