Borussia Dortmund have fears that Mats Hummels is likely to move on once the transfer window re-opens in January, with a number of Premier League teams ready snatch the player.
The German rock is valued at £30 million pounds by Dortmund, and has been continously linked with Manchester United and Arsenal in recent months.
But now, according to sources in Germany, Hummels has already set his sights on a move to the Emirates, with Arsenal desperate for more defensive quality after coming under-fire for poor defensive performances in recent weeks.
Arsenal also have Celtic’s Virgil Van Dijk and Aston Vila’s Ron Vlaar on their radar, but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has ordered the club to gather information about Hummels’ developments over in Germany.
United do remain interested in the centre-back, but are more likely to seal a deal for Ron Vlaar in January.
