Manchester United target Mats Hummels will not be moving to the Premier League, at least not in this transfer window.

The World Cup winner was reportedly the subject of a ÂŁ35 million bid from United, with Louis van Gaal looking to ease his side’s defensive troubles.

However, Hummels father and agent, Hermann, stated that he won’t be leaving Borussia Dortmund just yet. Despite Jurgen Klopp’s side struggling in the Bundesliga so far this season.

United are looking busy in this transfer window with the signing of former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes already confirmed. Although, they may have to look at other targets with Hummels staying at Dortmund until the summer at least.

When speaking to Sky News in Germany, Hermann Hummels was asked if his 26-year old son would potentially be moving to Manchester United this month.

“There is nothing to it” he replied.

Hummels has scored 16 goals in 181 Bundesliga appearances so far for Dortmund since he joined permanently in 2009.
