Inter Milan boss wants same success at San Siro
Roberto Mancini has admitted he is jealous of what Jose Mourinho managed to achieve during his time as manager at Inter Milan.
The now Chelsea boss guided the Serie A outfit to an impressive treble during the 2009/2010 season as the Italian side lifted the league title, the Coppa Italia and also the Champions League.
As well as that successful season, Mourinho won the Serie A the season prior before then leaving to take over at Real Madrid in 2010.
Mancini had similar success during his first stint at the San Siro, but he has still admitted that he is jealous of what Mourinho managed to achieve during that famous treble-winning campaign.
Mancini Reveals Jealousy
“I think he’s a good coach,” Mancini said of the 52-year-old Mourinho.
“Am I jealous about the treble? That’s a natural emotion, but I believe things happen because they were meant to happen.”
Mancini is looking to bring the glory days back to Inter Milan and is doing so by spending money with the signings of Geoffrey Kondogbia, Martin Montoya and Miranda all strengthening the club.
As for Mourinho, he is still winning titles as he lifted the Premier League and the Capital One Cup for Chelsea this season.
