Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal, has told fans of the club they may have to wait at least three years until they are back to their very best.

The Red Devils have fallen from grace ever since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, and after David Moyes was sacked for finishing seventh in his debut season at Old Trafford, Van Gaal was identified as his replacement, but his start has been even worse than Moyes’.

Over the Summer, the Dutchman told United fans to judge him after three months, but after three months in the job, he has now told fans to judge him after THREE YEARS, but after Moyes lasted on 10-months in a six-year deal, it’s not likely that the United board will have that much patience.

United have just 13 points from their first 10-games, which is worse than how Moyes started at Old Trafford, and Van Gaal has admitted that it’s been a terrible start to the new Premier League campaign and the Van Gaal era.

“It’s not good enough,” he said as United prepared to take out their Manchester derby frustrations on Crystal Palace.

“I feel very lousy – in the first place for the fans but also the board because they have a great belief in me, my staff and my players.

“When you have 13 points from 10 matches you aren’t doing well but we are in a process.

Van Gaal then spoke about his reign at Old Trafford, and he has admitted that it may take the whole three years of his contract in order to bring the glory days back to Manchester United.

“I said from the beginning when we won every game in pre-season in the United States that the process shall take more than one year – it will take three years, I hope, because that is always dependent on a lot of things.

“I think it shall be and we shall make it happen that we will win a lot of matches in a row. I cannot say when the results are coming.

“In my first season in charge of Bayern Munich it was December 8 [when results turned for the better] but it could be February 1 here.

“But it doesn’t matter because it is a three year process. I have signed for three years.”
