The French giants have no intention of offering Ibrahimovic a new deal

Paris Saint-Germain will not offer star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic a new deal as they look to sign Manchester United target Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 34-year-old’s deal is set to expire at the end of the season and speculation over the Sweden international’s future has come to prominence with Ronaldo reportedly on the French club’s radar.

Ronaldo could leave Real Madrid at either the end of this season or the next and, aside from United, are the frontrunners for the 30-year-old’s signature.

PSG don’t wish to completely rule out their top scorer staying beyond the end of the season, due to the complex nature of the deal to acquire Ronaldo.

Ibra rejects EPL switch

United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been linked with bringing the Swede to the Premier League, but the player himself claims he is too old to move to England.

“I think it is too late to come to England. I am very happy in PSG, I have my last six months and let us see what happens afterwards.” Ibrahimovic said, after helping to secure Sweden’s place at Euro 2016.

Ibrahimovic has been at the heart of PSG’s success since joining the club in 2012 from AC Milan.
