Manchester United can expect a bid of £60m for their Belgian striker, Romelu Lukaku. Inter Milan have made their intentions clear in signing the burly number nine and the Red Devils might just comply.
Lukaku, himself has been vocal about his desire to leave Old Trafford. He even praised Inter boss, Antonio Conte and said that a move to the Serie A was a dream for him.
Of course, it would be difficult for United to make a profit off of his sale, let alone recuperate the £75-90m they spent on him. Inter are, therefore, preparing a pay-as-you-go structure over the next two seasons which would include bonuses and other clauses, all intended to get closer to United’s valuation of the player.
The Nerazzurri initially wanted to sign Lukaku on loan. Now, they wish to pay for him in instalments of £9m, £27m and £27m. Inter are aware that the English transfer deadline is only three weeks away and a deal needs to be concluded soon.
Manchester United are already heading towards a new direction where Marcus Rashford or Anthony Martial are their chosen number nines. Lukaku got overshadowed by the two last term when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge of the side.
The Norwegian is not under pressure to raise funds since he is heavily backed by Ed Woodward. A deal could be sanctioned soon enough with the player expressing a strong desire to leave.
