Inter have entered the race to sign the Roma defender
Inter Milan are keen to sign Kostas Manolas, according to reports.
The defender has been a target for Man United, with Jose Mourinho on the lookout to add a few new defensive players to his side this month.
The Special One has reportedly been planning to launch a £32.5m bid for the Roma man, in the hopes of bringing him to the club now, rather than waiting until the summer.
Milan can only move in the summer
However, they now face competition from Inter Milan for his signature, with the Serie A side looking to reshape and rebuild their entire defensive line.
But, Milan can only make a bid to sign him in the summer, as they are currently restricted to do so because of FFP.
Roma themselves want to keep hold of Manolas but they may be resigned to doing so, with the player not signing a new deal with the Italian side.
His current deal only expires in 2019 but he has become such a key player for Roma that they are desperate to tie down his long-term future at the club.
With negotiations having stopped though, a move could potentially be on the cards and there clearly isn’t a lack of interest in his services.
