Jackson Martinez has sent shockwaves in Europe by revealing he wants to leave FC Porto and find a new challenge abroad.
Reports are claiming that the Columbian has become tired of Portuguese football and could be available in January – with Napoli and Tottenham leading the way.
Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United were all linked with a move for Martinez during the summer transfer window – but a £40m price-tag fended them off.
Martinez also signed a contract extension in August, crushing any hopes of a swift switch to the Premier League.
Martinez’s credentials speak for themselves, 51 goals in just 66 League games for Porto show his incredible ability to find the net – an attribute Mauricio Pochettino and Brendan Rodgers would very much like to acquire.
