Midfielder left Manchester City for Liverpool this summer
Liverpool midfielder James Milner has no regrets about leaving Manchester City this summer.
The England international left the Etihad Stadium on a free transfer at the end of last season after allowing his contract to expire, and chose to join Brendan Rodgers‘ Liverpool following Steven Gerrard‘s departure to the MLS.
Rodgers promised Milner a regular role in the heart of the midfield and that is what convinced him to swap City for Liverpool, and he has insisted that he has no regrets about moving on.
Manuel Pellegrini‘s men have started the new season very strongly, winning all three-games, which has seen them become title-favourites, but Milner insists that he doesn’t regret leaving them for The Reds.
No Regrets
“I have watched City and they have started well,” Milner said. “They are a top side and there are a lot of good sides who are going to battling to be up there at the end of the season.
