Bayern Munich forward  James Rodriguez has said that he is open to a return to Real Madrid. The Colombian winger joined Bayern on a two-year loan from Real Madrid in 2017. After an impressive first season, Rodriguez hasn’t been able to do very well for Bayern during his second season. So far, the winger has scored three goals and has provided 4 assists in 18 appearances across all competitions. There were several reports linking him to a move to other clubs.

Bayern have the option to sign him for €42 million following the end of his loan spell. However, James himself has admitted that he is open to return to the Santiago Bernabeu. The Colombian said, “I have to think hard about what I’m doing [in terms of my future]. In Madrid, I have everything: my house, people who love me. We will have to see what happens, but at the moment I have a contract with Bayern Munich. I just want to finish the season and we’ll see what happens.”

Even if the likes of Robben and Ribery leave the club, Bayern have some suitable winger options in Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman. However, Bayern might rope in James so that they can have adequate players in the winger department.
