Leicester City ready to offer him £90k-a-week
Leicester City are preparing a mega-contract for in-form striker Jamie Vardy in the hope it will fend off interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.
The striker has just broken a Premier League record for most goals in consecutive games, eclipsing Ruud Van Nistelrooy‘s long-standing record.
Vardy has netted in his last 11 games, and is aiming to make it 12 today when Leicester take on Swansea City.
A long with a record-breaking season, the 28-year-old has also won an England call-up and is now set to be offered a new lucrative deal at the King Power Stadium.
New Deal
According to reports, Leicester officials are ready to offer Vardy a £16million deal, equating to a weekly wage of £90k-a-week, making him the club’s highest ever earner.
Vardy only recently signed a new deal at the club which was worth £45k-a-week, but after his performances this season, Leicester are prepared to double his salary.
